Hylia Serif features a full Latin alphabet in capitals and small caps, monospaced Arabic numerals, and select punctuation, making it suitable for headlines and short strings of text.

Spacing & Kerning

Hylia Serif is optimized for consistent perceived spacing between letters. Letter pairings that are often problematic have been accounted for and kerned accordingly.

Continual Development

Future Versions

Hylia Serif will be updated incrementally as new references are found containing previously unseen characters. These changes will be released as new versions of the typeface.

Hylia Serif is derived from a variety of reference materials, including direct feed game footage and photos of signage associated with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. As such, the accuracy of the replication of each letter varies based on what reference materials are available. For instances where no reference material exists, some characters were drawn from scratch by extrapolating design elements of other characters.
